Knowledge Base

The Knowledge Base feature lets you upload your own documents — company standards, specifications, project guidelines — so the AI can reference them when answering your questions and executing commands.

How It Works

When you upload documents to the knowledge base, the AI can:
  • Reference your specific standards and guidelines
  • Follow your company’s naming conventions
  • Apply your project-specific rules and requirements
  • Answer questions based on your documentation

Uploading Documents

In the Algomim web app, go to Knowledge Base from the sidebar.
2

Use Cases

Company Standards

Upload your BIM standards, naming conventions, and modeling guidelines. The AI will follow them when creating elements.

Project Specifications

Upload project specs so the AI can reference material requirements, dimensions, and other constraints.

Code Compliance

Upload building codes and regulations. Ask the AI to check your model against these requirements.

Product Catalogs

Upload manufacturer catalogs. The AI can help you find and specify the right products.

Tips for Best Results

  • Upload documents that are clear and well-structured
  • Use descriptive names for your knowledge items
  • Keep documents focused — smaller, topic-specific documents work better than large general ones
  • Update your knowledge base when standards or specs change
The AI references your knowledge base contextually. You don’t need to explicitly mention a document — if your question relates to an uploaded standard, the AI will automatically consider it.
